Dusty loves all his toys! He would play with them for hours every day until he gets really tired and fall asleep right next to them.

The most important thing for a puppy to learn is to make a right choice in selecting what he should be spending time with - things like playing and chewing his toys, but not your shoes or your books. To do so he has to have plenty of toys to play with and a space where he is not distracted to play in. Playing with his toys is really important for a puppy because only when he is directed to do the right thing he won't get bored and develop bad habits like chewing household items. It's also good exercise for him and something he can use his time with when you are busy. Occasionally he would pick up your sneakers, or your socks because they remind him of you, or how you smell. Puppies between 4 to 6 months have a need to chew because they are teething. Therefore all puppies should be supervised "at all time" before they learn the good behaviors and what's desired of them.
